U S A
MY MOM SMOKES WEED. The title pretty much says it all. This is a semi-autobiographical story of a son returning home to see his recently-widowed mother. A mother who happens to have a certain habit. Immediately upon his arrival, he discovers that his geriatric mom has run out of her supply. Now, he's tasked with taking her on a road trip 'downtown' to meet a dastardly group of pharmaceutical representatives to procure more special herbs for her stash. The son, being an upstanding member of law-abiding society, is appalled by his mother's delinquent lifestyle. The two bash heads along the way. The past resurfaces. Finally everything comes to a head at the frightening 'drug lair.' Once at Snake Mountain (the drug lair), our heroes must set aside their petty differences in order to overcome a major CRISIS SITUATION that arises when the DEAL GOES BAD.Action ensues. Life lessons are learned. Oh, and Pinocchio becomes a real little boy. It's like Albert Brooks stepped into an episode of Miami Vice. Or rather, it's like Pollyanna meets Midnight Express! Starring Nate Rubin and Sylvia Luedke. Directed by Clay Liford.
